WHY ISCHIA?

Ischia, the largest island of the Gulf of Naples, was the first Greek settlement in the Tyrrhenian Sea, founded in the 8th century BC and named Pithekoussai.

Today, it is a very popular destination frequented all year round by international tourists and it is the third most populated Italian island after Sicily and Sardinia.

It is also known as the Isola Verde - Green Island - because of its extremely beautiful landscape. Nonetheless, what makes Ischia a destination not to be missed are its thermal baths: the island is currently the European capital of thermal bath culture, which is demonstrated by the over 300 structures that operate in this sector, and by the variety of the waters.

Foodies can explore the secrets of a cuisine heavily bound to tradition, as well as the excellent wine culture, a real vocation of the island.
